Temporarily Turn Filtering Off

Parents may want to turn off filtering on a Child's device when they approve of the Child accessing particular video streaming services or blocked content. The normal filtering will come back on when the timer runs out.

On the Child's iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Family Zone app
  2. In the upper-right, select the cog icon
  3. Enter your 4 digit parent PIN
  4. Toggle the Family Zone Filtering switch to grey
  5. Select the time period you want to turn Family Zone filtering off
    (30 Minutes, 1 Hour, 2 Hours, 4 Hours, 8 Hours)
  6. Select Done to get out of the settings

You are done. When the timer expires the device will return to the Child's filtering.

Turning Filtering Back On

The filtering will turn back on when the timer runs out. If you want to end the access before the timer runs out, use the following steps to turn the filtering on ahead of schedule.

On the Child's iPhone or iPad:

  1. Tap on the gray Tap to reactivate banner
  2. Tap Yes

Your Child's phone returns to the regularly scheduled access Routine (Play, Study, School or Sleep).
